Hi everyone! When I woke up this morning and saw the ground covered with a fresh layer of snow-I had to look at the calender!! April 6th, snow, really!! As much as I am ready to see my lilacs blooming, fresh snow is always pretty!!

Spring is Springing!!!

I hope you and your families are spending a lot of time outside...the weather has been beautiful!!!! My family and I have been walking every evening, so wonderful!!

Is it Spring yet?

A few updates...

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth at the Kid's Expo last Saturday. We were so grateful the snow went north...there were so many families and smiling children.

We were very blessed to have our booth located next to Cookie Cutters, Hair Cuts for Kids booth. The owners were so nice and I highly recommend you take your children there for a fun haircut!! They had a giant Gingerbread cookie as their mascot and all the children had fun hugging and waving at him. My funny, funny husband decided he wanted to wear the costume and have a little "fun" with me! He put the costume on and was hugging me and being a little "too" friendly...we were laughing hysterically! We had Craig's parents and friends of ours coming to the Expo and so he decided to have some fun with them as well. They were all running late and so he ended up wearing the costume for almost 3 hours hugging and waving at all the children!! He did have fun though and ended up in a picture in The Pantagraph on Sunday. It was such a fun day!! My kids had a blast!!

We had a great response and 2 lucky winners who won a free sitting!! Congratulations to them!!

The American Concierge Magazine and the Our Home Marketplace magazines are out on newsstands now. I am running an ad in each magazine and so excited to get responses. If you happen to pick up a copy, pick up more than one and pass them out to your friends and family!

We have many, many 2ND graders in our community preparing for their First Holy Communion. Bring your First Communicant in for a sitting in their special First Communion clothing and the sitting fee is only $50...that is half off the In-Studio fee of $100. If you choose an on location sitting it will be half off the $125 as well!!!

Well, it has been a busy couple of weeks around here. Let me give you an update as to what is coming up:
1) Look for my ad in the following publications coming out the end of February:
At Home in Central Illinois, published by The News Gazette. I am very impressed with this magazine, look for it at the Champaign or Bloomington Barnes and Noble and Borders.
American Concierge, Bloomington, IL. Again, love this publication as well, it has a lot of wonderful articles highlighting businesses in the Bloomington/Normal area.
Our Home Marketplace, Bloomington, IL. This publication is chocked full of wonderful specials and coupons from area businesses.

2) Friday, February 27th is the Annual Children's Discovery Museum Sweet Discoveries Style Show. On Saturday, February 28th they follow that up with the Sweet Discoveries Dinner and Silent Auction. If you are planning on attending the Dinner, make sure to bid on my package that I will be donating. It is for a photo session at a location of your choice and a gallery wrap. The money goes for a wonderful Museum we have in Normal.

3) Also on Friday, February 27th, is the Holy Trinity Fish Fry at Holy Trinity Elementary School. I am donating a sitting and gallery wrap to help raise money for our wonderful school!!

It's January and....it's sooo cold!!

Happy January...is it cold enough??? I love having my kids home from school!!!
It has been awhile since I have posted...so, let me update you!

• We got through our first Christmas rush! So busy, but so much fun! I loved designing Christmas cards for everyone! And, a big thank you to everyone for sending me your card! I loved receiving them!
• My wonderful intern, Stephanie, graduated from ISU!! Congratulations Stephanie!! She moved back home to Peoria after graduation, I am sooo sad to lose her! She was invaluable to me during the last few months!!! She is sooo creative and such a hard worker. And...such a wonderful help to me while I figured out the website thing! She deserves so much credit for my website!!! She is actively looking for a job, so....if anyone knows anyone needing a full-time wonderful graphic artist, let me know!!!! I just wish I was a the point that I could hire her full-time! She will be the first I call when that time comes!!!
• Exciting news...my studio will be up and running by February 1st!!!!!! Craig has been such a wonderful support and so helpful! We have transformed our formal living room and dining room into the studio. I have my studio, my office and a viewing room. I am sooo excited!!! I have ordered some beautiful fabrics to use as backgrounds, "wink" from my decorating days!
• My best friend in the world, Missy, and I are going to Chicago on Sunday for the spring Gift show at the Merchandise Mart. I am going to be looking for some wonderful frames to carry, as well as other merchandise to enhance your photographs. I am so very excited and can't wait to share my wonderful finds with you all! I am also so excited to visit my Mom's new showroom. She leaves in the morning and I am praying for a safe trip for her!

O.K....it is Craig's birthday and so we are going to relax. He got a classic meatloaf dinner, green-bean casserole and mashed potatoes! As much as I dislike meatloaf, I made it just for him!! Happy 38th birthday dear!!
